Chris Abad’s ‘The Starting Point’ is what the title suggests: a new beginning for this NYC singer/songwriter. Chris trades in the polished electric guitar attack of his former band Dough, for the stripped-down, acoustic sounds of his solo debut. With deeply personal lyrics set against a sparse musical landscape, Chris brings a decidedly darker and different twist to his signature pop sound.
